Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus may be the fist tablet pc with S Pen

As the profit is reduced, and the sales is also going down, now, many smart phone suppliers in China has already caught up with Samsung, so Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab A series. It is cheaper, but still more expensive than China mobile phones. Now, Samsung wants to copy this idea, and launch Galaxy Tab A series. Recently, there will be four Galaxy Tab A tablets available, and Galaxy Tab A Plus may be the first tablet with S pen except Tab Note. 

This Galaxy Tab A Plus is not expensive, it adopts the Qualcomm APQ8016 processor, frequency is 1.2GHz, RAM is 2GB. Screen size is 9.7 inch, resolution is unknown for now. But as our estimation, it should be 720P. Battery capacity is 6000Mah. Its performance is not high. Just as Galaxy A smart phones, it is for middle and low end market. 

Nvidia will launch new product to redefine game

Last week, we have got the invitation from Nvidia. It will hold presentation on 3rd March. The topic of this presentation is Made to Game. As what Nvidia said, it has already worked on a new production for over 5 years. And it will redefine game. Though, the invitation did not tell any information of the new product, it should be the winner of Nvidia Shield tablet. New product will come with Nvidia Tegra X1 processor.

Nvidia Tegra X1 is based on new Maxwell GPU framework. It can play 4K video in 60 fps. It is the first 64 bit octa core CPU from Nvidia. Its performance is twice of Tegra K1, and the power consumption is lower.

Sharp will reduce production volume of small size IGZO screen

News from suverimax.com, Sharp will reduce the production volume of its small size screen by 40%. That is because its screen is in low demand from China smart phone suppliers. And the competition in Japan is also very high.

In 2014, the IGZO screen production volume was about 1200 pieces per day. Now, Sharp is scheduled to reduce the volume to 700 to 800 pieces. As of now, most of China suppliers have high stock volume, and in a short run, the demand will not be high. More important, the competition is very high.

Of course, if the IGZO screen production volume is reduced, then Sharp will use it to produce TV panel. But many people worry that it will lead to big loss in 2015.

Last month, Qualcomm disclosed more information of its new Snapdragon 810 processor. New Snapdragon 810 integrates four ARM Cortex A53 and four Cortex A57. It is 64 bit chipset. GPU is Adreno 430. It can support OpenGL ES3.1, OpenCL1.2FULL and DX11.2. The max screen resolution can be 4K and users can also output 4K videos.

Regarding network, new Snapdragon can support 4G LTE network, and dual SIM cards, HD VoLTE is also supported. Its max download speed is 450Mbps. It can support USB 3.0 host, 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1 etc. Regarding audio, it can support Dolby Atmos and DTS11.1.

HP Spectre 13 X360 transformer tablet Windows

In Jan, CES 2015, HP has launched several new tablets with Windows OS, for example, ZBook 14 and Stream Mini etc. The latest news from ontablets.es, HP is scheduled to launch a new transformer tablet pc, Spectre 13 X360.

This Spectre 13 adopts one 11.3 inch LCD screen, resolution is 2560*1440 pixels. CPU is Intel Core I5-5200U or Core I7-5500U. RAM is 8GB LPDDR3, flash memory is 512GB. Unit can support Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Miracast, Widi, Bluetooth 4.0. There are three USB3.0 hosts and one HDMI output, Mini Display port, and SD card slot. The total weight is 1.5KG. Unit is only 15.9mm thickness.

This unit will be launched on March, and will be landed in Italy first. but its price is quite expensive, starting from nearly 1300 euros.

Intell will sell out its Imagination shares

News from suverimax.com, Intel announced it will sell out its all Imagination shares. Intel owns 4.9% shares of Imagination. Another company Apple has already signed a new contract with Imagination, and it will keep on being the share holder in following years. But Apple did not tell detail information about the new contract.

In 2008, Apple acquired 3.6% shares of Imagination, and in following years, it keeps on investing, and till now, Apple has already owned 10% shares.

Imagination PowerVR GPU is one important part of Apple iPhone and iPad. The Apple A8 processor which is used by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus adopts the Imagination PowerVR GX6450 GPU, its GPU performance is about 64 times of iPhone 5. And the GPU performance of A8X which is used by iPad Air 2 can beat any GPU in market now.

Samsung 14nm flagship processor

News from ontablets.es, the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will adopt the Exynos 7420 processor, not Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. But its performance is still very powerful. Now, Samsung is preparing for next generation Exynos processor. There are two models, Exynos 7890 and Exynos 7650. The front one is adopting 14nm process technology and latter one is the first Samsung 64 bit processor.



This news remind me of the Apple A9 processor. Last month, some news said Apple prefer to Samsung 14nm process technology compared with TSMC 16nm process. So it is quite possible that Samsung will supply Apple A9 processor.

To get the order from Apple, Samsung has already started to prepare its 14nm mass production for next generation iPhone.

Another tablet from PIPO with Intel Core M

Last month, suverimax.com has disclosed the first tablet pc with Core M from PIPO, PIPO K2. It owns one 11.6 inch IPS screen. Recently, another PIPO tablet with Intel Core M is disclosed. But its screen size is 10.1 inch, and price is about 310 euros.

The CPU of this tablet is Intel Core M 5Y10C. Frequency is between 0.8 to 1GHz. RAM is 4GB and flash memory is 64GB. The screen can support 10 touch points. From the picture, we can see unit has USB3.0, USB2.0, TF card slot etc. Till now, the other information about this unit is unknown.

Compared with other tablet pc with Core M processor, its price is very competitive. But except the CPU, PIPO may lower down other configuration, like camera, battery life etc. Of course, we need to wait till it is available for sale. You can follow us for detail information about it.
