Yesterday, Google officially launched several new Chromebook laptop PC, and one HDMI sticker. These new products are produced by ASUS, Haier and Hisense. Except the low price, all of them are adopting processors from Rockchip.
The four new laptop PC are ASUS Chromebook C021, Haier Chromebook 11 and 11E, and Hisense Chromebook C11. Haier Chromebook 11 and Hisense C11 are both adopting 11.6 inch IPS screen, resolution is 1366*768 pixels. Both units owns the Rockchip RK3288 processor. Difference is the Hisense C11 adopts 2.5GHz Rockchip RK3288. And Haier Chromebook 11 adopts RK3288-C, its frequency is 1.8GHz, this processor is based on ARM Cortex A17, GPU is Mali-T760. Its performance is very good. The RAM is 2GB, and flash memory is 16GB.
Regarding the battery life, as the low power consumption of RK3288-C, the new Chromebook devices are much better than old ones, for example, the ASUS Chromebook C021 is 13 hours battery life.
The market director of Rockchip said Rockchip has very good relationship with Google. They have made long time cooperation on
tablet pc and smart phones. And this RK3288-C has very good performance on Chromebook.
