Apple A9 processor will be massive produced this month

Apple upgrades the processor for its iPhone every year. This year, Apple will launch iPhone 6S with Apple A9 processor. So who will supply A9 processor to Apple, Samsung or TSMC?

Now, Samsung has the more advanced 14nm FinFET process technology, and TSMC is 16nm process. Both companies have already provided the samples of Apple A9 processor on this May. Considering the conformity rate and cost, Apple may choose TSMC as its primary supplier of A9 processor.

Last month, some news reported that TSMC may only supply 30% of A9 processor to Apple. But from our latest news from Suverimax, TSMC is ahead of competition with Samsung. And it will masive produce Apple A9 processor this month.

Samsung 14nm process technology interests Apple a lot, but after comparing with TSMC 16nm process, the performance is quite similar. But TSMC has higher production efficiency, and lower cost. That is why Apple chooses TSMC.

Compared with Apple A8, A9 has much higher performance, more important, the power consumption is much lower which is very good to battery life of iPhone 6S.
