New ARM Cortex A35 architecture available

Today, ARM launches its new CPU architecture, Cortex A35. It will be mainly for low end smartphones, wearable devices, IoT devices. ARM Cortex A35 is based on ARMv8-A 64 bit architecture and will be used to replace old ARM Cortex A7 and A5.

ARM said Cortex A35 is the most power efficient processor, its power consumption is only 125mW. If adopting 28nm process technology and 1GHz frequency, its power consumption will reduce to 90mW. If keeping same power consumption and adopting 16nm or 14nm process, then its frequency can be over 2GHz.

Of course, it can also work with ARM Cortex A53, A57 or A72 to boost the performance of CPU.

Compared with Cortex A7, under same frequency and process technology, its power consumption is 10% lower, and performance is 6%-40% higher. If comparing with Cortex A53, its performance will be about 20% lower, but power consumption is 32% lower, and its size is also much smaller.

The first CPU with this ARM Cortex A35 may roll out at end of 2016.

Lenovo may release Yoga 4 Pro on 9th Nov

At early Oct, Microsoft launched new generation 2 in 1 tablet pc, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book. People said 2 in 1 tablet will be the future, but till now, we can not see any tablet pc suppliers from China following up. This morning, we heard a good news from Lenovo.

On 29th Oct, Lenovo announced that it will open a new product presentation conference on 9th, Nov. In this conference, Lenovo may launch its new 2 in 1 tablet pc, Lenovo Yoga 4 Pro. In fact, this unit has already appeared in USA on 20th, Oct.

This Lenovo Yoga 4 tablet pc owns Intel 6th Gen Core I series processor. Screen size is 13.3 inch. Resolution is 3K level. As the battery density is enhanced, the life is also extended by 2 hours. More important, this unit will run the latest Windows 10 operation system.

In meanwhile, Lenovo Yoga Home with 27 inch screen may also roll out in the conference. But it is not all. As our news, Lenovo may launch one new product similar as Surface Book. But there is no any information about it for now.

This HTC One A9 adopts 2.5D Corning IV Gorilla Glass, screen resolution is also not bad. But its CPU performance is not high, maybe that is the flaw. We have introduced this CPU before. New Mediatek octa core processor disclosed

Recently, one smart phone with Mediatek Helio P10 processor is displayed on Geekbench, the model number of the processor is MT6755. Geekbench said the performance of its single core and multi core is 882, and 3371 separately.

As a contrast, the performance of this MT6755 processor is a bit better than Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 whose single core performance and multi core performance are 650 and 2500 separately. But compared with another octa core processor from Mediatek, MT6752, its performance is a bit lower.

Archos launched one new transforming tablet with Windows OS

Samsung is developing 18.4 inch tablet pc android?

Apple may lauch its 12 inch iPad Pro in following months, as its competitor, Samsung is also planning to launch one big screen size tablet pc. Recently, news from USA, Samsung will launch one 18.4 inch tablet pc, model number is SM-T760. This tablet is mainly for office, school or home use.

The news said this Samsung tablet owns one 18.4 inch big screen size, resolution is 1920*1080 pixels. Operation system is new Android 5.1 OS, CPU is Samsung Exynos 7580 octa core processor, frequency is 1.6GHz. RAM is 2GB, and flash memory is 32GB. It can support an external TF card up to 128GB.

LG will invest 8.5 billion US dollars for soft OLED panel

On this Monday, LG announced it will focus on the investment of OLED panel, they believe OLED panel will be the future. LG said in following three years, it will invest about 8.5 billion US dollars. It will be mainly used for big size OLED products, smart phones, tablets pc, or smart wearable products. It will also be adopted by autos as well in future.

OLED is not a new technologies, its color rendition and power consumption is very good, that is why it is not widely adopted by smart phones and tablets pc. If LG can improve the color rendition and power consumption, it will be main stream.

Now, OLED panel is adopted by Samsung and Apple for their smart phones. But for some big size products, like TV set etc, its price is much higher than other LCD products. Samsung said the OLED TV is still too expensive.

Now, LG display and LG have already started to promote their OLED technology to TV suppliers, but if the cost can not go down, it will not be widely adopted.

LG Nuclun 2 processor disclosed

We have to say, before Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 rolls out, Samsung Exynos 7420 is still the most powerful chipset for smart phones. As the 14nm process, its performance and power consumption control is much better its competitors. Till now, Qualcomm and Samsung have taken nearly all the high end smart phone market. But recently, news from suverimax.com, LG will launch its second generation Nuclun processor.

Peopel has shared the information of this LG Nuclun 2 processor. As the testing result, the performance of its single thread and multi threads is better than Samsung Exynos 7420. This LG Nuclun adopts four 2.1 GHz ARM Cortex A72 and four 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A53, better than Samsung Exynos 7420 which owns four 2.1GHz Cortex A57 and four 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A53. This LG Nuclun will adopt 16nm process from TSMC.

Of course, it does not mean anything, maybe when this LG Nuclun 2 is adopted by smart phones, its performance may be that good. Till now, there is little information about this processor, especially, we don't know anything about its GPU. More important, as it adopts the 16nm process from TSMC, that means we can only see this processor at year end, or early next year.

In fact, LG has adopted its first generation Nuclun processor on its LG G3 Screen smart phone. But its performance is not so satisfying.

So which one will be the most powerful cihpset for smart phones, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Samsung Exynos 7420 or LG Nuclun 2.

Samsung may be testing one big screen size tablet pc

Today, news from USA, Samsung is testing one new tablet pc. This new tablet pc is coming with one amazing 18.4 inch screen.

If this tablet pc will be launched, it may become the biggest screen tablet pc from Samsung. Now, the biggest one is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. Of course, as the big screen size, this new tablet pc may be not only a tablet pc, it should be one 2 in 1 product.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 may roll out next week?

News from USA, Qualcomm will open the new product presentation conference in Los Angels on 11th, August. If the news is true, that means Qualcomm may launch its new generation processors for smart phones to replace the Snapdragon 810

No matter LG G Flex 2, HTC M9 or Sony Xperia Z3+ are also adopting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Of course, their result is the same. All of them have the over heating problem. After people disclosed the over heating problem of Snapdragon 810, it becomes the most emergent to launch the next generation processor.

Last month, news said Qualcomm has already finished the design of Snapdragon 820, provided samples to XiaoMi, HTC and ASUS to test the performance. The test reports will feed back to Qualcomm then Qualcomm will resolve the problem in the reports. Usually, it will take several months. Toshiba Encore 10 tablet pc with Windows 10 OS

The price of this Encore 10 with Windows 10 Official edition is 300 US dollars, and if you want Windows 10 Professional edition, the price will be 100 US dollars higher. If the keyboard docking is needed, you need to pay 80 US dollars extra.

Apple Watch takes 75% market share

TSMC will finish 10nm process before Intel

Yesterday, TSMC released its financial report in 2nd quarter of 2015, in meanwhile, it also mentioned the progress of its new process technology. The report suggested that its total revenue in 2nd quarter is about 6.6 billion US dollars, compared with last quarter, it is reduced by 7.5%, but compared with last year, it is increased by 12.2%.

As the delay of 16nm process, we did not see anything about it. So its 20nm process takes over 20% of its total shipment volume, and most of them are Apple A8 processor.

Regarding the 28nm process, its HPC and HPC plus process are still quite competitive, taking 27% of its total revenue.

As estimation, the 16nm process will be finished in the 3rd quarter of 2015. Its first 10nm quad core processor based on ARM Cortex A57 is finished, and will be massive produced in 2016. As we know, the 10nm process from Intel is delayed to 2017. That means TSMC will run ahead of Intel fist time.

Some news said the Apple A9 processor for iPhone 6S is already massive produced, and it will adopt Samsung 14nm process since TSMC 16nm is delayed. That may be a bad news to TSMC.

The following four smart phones may adopt the most powerful CPU from Qualcomm.

Second is Mstar S700 Pro. Maybe you have never heard of Mstar before. It is one company from China. This S700 Pro will also be launched in this Oct, it owns 5.5 inch QHD IPS screen, RAM is 4GB, flash memory is 32GB. Front camera is 11M pixels, and rear camera is 21M pixels. The operation system is Android 5.1.1 OS, its price is about 480 US dollars

Third one is HTC Aero. This mobile phone will be launched in the 4th quarter of 2015. As the failure of HTC One M9. Now, HTC put its efforts on this new mobile phone. It will adopt the Snapdragon 820 processor. The other information is unknown for now.

Forth is Sony Xperia Z5. It will roll out within this Sept. It is the fifth product of Sony Xperia Z series. Except Z5, there are several other editions, like Z5 Ultra, Z5 Compact etc. Except this Snapdragon 820 processor, it owns 21M pixels camera with Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor. Battery capacity is 4500Mah, and operation system is Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. 

Sales volume of big screen smart phone will surpass mini tablet pc

Nowadays, the screen size of your mobile phones is becoming bigger and bigger. When Apple launched the iPhone 6 Plus in 2014, 5 inch or above screen size is more welcome than before. In meanwhile, the tablet pc is put into bad condition. Even Apple iPad can not be exception. As estimation by STCAMUSA, in 2015, the sales of big screen size mobile phone is 252 million pieces, compared with last year, it is increased by 66%. But the sales of tablet pc is only 238 million pieces, increased by only 2%. That means the sales of big screen mobile phone will surpass tablet pc.

Apple A9 processor will be massive produced this month

Mathias, the CEO of Axel Springer SE said, compared with tablet pc, E-Paper is more slim, and softer. Users can roll it up and put it into pocket. This E-Paper is just as slim and soft as real paper. It can provide users similar experience as tablet pc. Now, Axel Springer has already started to transform from a traditional press releaser to a digital press releaser.

But till now, this E-Paper is far away fro us. Sony has developed its E-Paper system, and price is very high, 799 US dollars. And till now, it is not available for sale. Except Sony, we have also seen similar products from other suppliers.

Of course, the cost of E-Paper will reduce eventually. When its price is acceptable, people will use E-Paper to read news or books.

Or maybe, we can say, E-Paper is the future of tablet pc.

Rockchip lauches the most power saving Wifi chipset

In Computex 2015 trade show, Rockchip launched its new wifi. This new technology was introduced to be the most power saving Wifi chipset in the world. When working, its power consumption is only 20Mah, which is reduced by 85% compared with other IoT devices. As the low power consumption, it may be adopted by a lot of tablets pc or smart phones.

Its power consumption is quite similar to Bluetooth 4.0 LE. If adopthing this new Wifi, our IoT devices may adopts button batteries. It will help IoT devices reduce size, and development cost.

Now, the most popular Wifi is from Broadcom, Qualcomm, and TI. Their power consumption is between 59 to 140MA. This Rockchip RKi6000 have big advantage. If using one AAA battery, it can last working for over 35 years.

We believe this RKi6000 will be widely adopted by tablets pc, smart phones, IoT devices, Autos etc.

As Rockchip said, this RKi6000 wifi will be available for sale at the end of this year. And maybe next year, we can see some corresponding products in market.

Top 10 tablet pc Windows in 2014

Last year, Microsoft announced to cancel authority charge for tablets pc smaller than 9 inch. Following that, it launched Office software for Android operation system. From these events, we can see, now Microsoft is working hard to built its Windows ecological construction. But it does not mean it ignored the hardware. Its purpose of launching Surface tablet is to set an example for OEM tablet pc manufacturers.

Recently, Microsoft released the latest two 10 tablet pc Windows. Six of them are from China. The sales volume is millions of pieces.

Before, if one manufacturer wants to launch a new tablet Windows, it will take about 6-8 months, now it only takes 8-10 weeks. Though, Microsoft cancel the authority charge for tablets less than 9 inch, but size over 9 inch is not free.

We know time is money, one manufacturer in Shenzhen only took 10 days to develop one prototype of tablet pc Windows 10, and displayed in WinHEC.

Microsoft said its working emphasis is still tablet pc, not smart phone.

New Chromebook with Rockchip processor

At the end of last month, Google I/O 2015 conference was open. There are many new products shown in conference, including smart wearing devices, Android operation system, smart phones etc. In the conference, we have seen laptop PC displayed with processor from China. It is the new generation Chromebook with Rockchip RK3288-C. So how is the performance of this Chromebook.

New generation Chomebook is coming with RK3288-C quad core processor. This processor is based on ARM Cortex A17 framework, frequency is 1.8GHz.GPU is the Mali T764.

As out test result, this new Chromebook only takes 10 second to boot system. As it adopts latest GPU, when browsing webpages, its speed is 25% faster than last generation.

Except the fast running speed, this RK3288-C is also one power saving processor. Its power consumption is only 2.9W per hour. Compared with last generation, it is 45% lower. The battery life of new Chromebook is over 13 hours.

As early as this April, there are many tablet pc suppliers lauched their new Chromebook, like ASUS Chromebook Flip, C201, Hisense C11, Haier 11 and 11E. In May, Xolo and Nexian from India also launched their new Chromebook with RK3288-C processor.

As estimation, in 2015, the total sale volume of Chromebook will be over 10 million pieces, and 70% of them are coming with this RK3288-C.

History of USB Type C

In the CES Asia trade show, one supplier displayed 18 digital products with USB 3.1 Type C port including charger, power bank, data cable, and USB dock etc, nearly covering all products with USB port. In fact, in the past half year, Nokia, Samsung, Apple have already launched their products with this USB Type C port. In the latest Google I/O conference, Google announced that its new Android M operation system can support this USB Type C port.

In fact, USB port was started from 1996 when the USB 1.0 was available. In 2000 year, the USB 2.0 became very popular. Till 2008 year, it was upgrated to USB 3.0. And in 2013 year, USB 3.1 was available, and this is the latest USB version. Every new version of USB means faster transfer speed, and the connector standard is different as well.

In the new USB 3.1 standard, there are three different ports. One is Type A which is the same as used on PC. One is Type B which is adopted by Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and one is Type C.

Till now, only these three types of USB port can support USB 3.1 standard. Regarding Type C port, its max transfer speed is 10Gbps. We know, the max speed of USB 2.0 is only 480Mbps. One another difference is the video transfer, USB 1.0 and USB 2.0 can only support transfering videos up to 1080P. And this USB Type C can support up to 4K resolution video. As we know, now more and more smart phones comes with 2K resolution screen, so USB 2.0 can not meet the demand. That is why USB Type C is so popular nowadays.

360 launches one smart dash cam

Now, dash cam is very hot in worldwide, and many companies start to enter this new business. Yesterday, 360 company launched one new smart dash cam. Now, this unit is already available for reservation. Its price is only 50 US dollars. It can be delivered at the end of next month.

This dash cam adopts one 160 wide degree lens. There is one HD camera built in, resolution can be 1296P. Compared with other products in market, it has higher definition, and wider viewing angle. More important, this unit can support Wifi. Once you install the APP on your smart phone or tablet, you can view videos on your smart phones, or play back videos etc.

The size of the unit is 50.5*63*19.5mm. There is one 2 inch LCD display. CPU is the Amberalla A7LA55. Battery capacity is 700Mah. The max video resolution is 2304*1296 pixels. It can support a TF memory card up to 64GB.

The biggest feature of this dash cam is Wifi module built in. But it can only support iOS above 6.0 version or Android OS above 4.0

This unit can work under a very high temperature up to 85 degree.

Google Android Brillo OS launched

Now, IoT and smart household are the hot area, recently, Google launched a new operation system, coded Project Brillo.

This operation system is developed based on Android, with highly simplified. It can support Wifi and Bluetooth. It is called as one end-end operation system, but how this Android Brillio will be added into devices.

In meanwhile, Google also introduced one communication layer, called Weave. It can allow devices in the IoT to communicate with each other. All the devices use the same languages. So what is the purpose of this function. We can take a simple example. When you close the door, the air conditioners at home will know about it, and turn off power.

The preview edition for developers of this Android Brillo OS will be available at 3rd quarter of this year. Weave will be available in the 4th quarter of this year.

TSMC and Samsung are working on 10nm process

The 14nm process technology from Samsung is already massive produced, and highly commented by its clients including Apple and Qualcomm. Its compliance rate is very high. As our previous report, Apple may pass most of its orders to Samsung. Of course, TSMC will be not happy about this situation.

As news from Taiwan, now, the 16nm process from TSMC is also massive produced. Though it still falls behind of Samsung's 14nm process, TSMC believe when its production volume of 14nm process increases, its performance will not lose Samsung.

But we have to say TSMC has already fallen behind of Samsung, so to make sure the development of 10nm process, TSMC will invest 10 billion US dollars.

In meanwhile, Samsung is also trying to develop its own 10nm process. Samsung said its 10nm process has great advantage on product size, and power consumption and will be massive produced at the end of next year. So maybe the iPhone 7 can catch up with this 10nm process technology.

New Android OS will support 32MB RAM

As the Google I/O conference is coming, there are more and more news about new Android operation system. Recently, news from suverimax.com said Google is developing one new Android OS edition. This new operation system is mostly for low power consumption IoT devices. It is coded Brillo.

This operation system has adopted one new technology for low power consumption IoT devices. Normally, these devices only owns 32MB or 64MB RAM.

Google hope this new Brillo operation system can be adopted by any IoT devices, no matter it comes with screen or not.

XiaoMi is trying to develop its own processor

Recently, as our news, Xiaomi wants to make cooperation with Leadcore Technology to develop their own processor for its smart phones.

In 2014, XiaoMi has sold over 61 million pieces smart phones. Since the high sales volume, once any problem with its supply chain, it will be a big shock to XiaoMi. So, XiaoMi can not rely on Qualcomm and Leadcore too much. More important, there are many smart phones suppliers adopting Qualcomm and Leadcore processors, that is why XiaoMi wants to develop its own processor.

Leadcore is one well known company in China. It has the 3G TD-SCDMA, 4G TD-LTE Advanced patents. That is why XiaoMi chooses Leadcore. But as our estimation, XiaoMi will still choose Qualcomm for its high end smart phones since it can not develop a processor which can beat Qualomm in short time.

As we know, the XiaoMi RedMi 2A does not choose processor from Qualcoom, but from Leadcore. Its price is also less than 100 US dollars. Compared with RedMi 2 which adopts Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core processor, it is about 15 US dollars cheaper.

As we know, Samsung took over 4 years to develop its 64 bit processor, and it may be launched next year. Now, the war of mobile processor has started.

Smart phone operation system in Russia

Two weeks before, we disclosed the news that Russia is developing their own processor for smart phones. Except the processor, now, they are also working on their own operation system.

As news from Russia, in order to develop their own smart phone operation system, now, they are contacting with developers of Jolla operation system. Russia wants the developers to develop one new operation system based on Sailfish OS. Now, in Russia, iOS and Android have already taken 95% market share. They hope the new operation system can be as good as iOS and Android.

Russia also hopes the operation system can boost their economic, and avoid any confidential leaking.

The problem is how to make people in Russia accept this new OS, and willing to use it. Otherwise, everything is useless.

Sharp Aquos Pad DH-05G tablet pc with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810

Though, we have reported that Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 has the overheating problem, but recently, there are more and more flagship smart phones start to adopt this processor. But few tablets adopts this Snapdragon 810 till now. Only the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet pc launched in the CES 2015 trade show adopts this CPU. Now, the second tablet with Snapdragon 810 is coming, it is from Sharp, model number is Aquos Pad DH-05G.

This Aquos Pad DH-05G is one 7 inch tablet pc, adopting IGZO screen. Resolution is 1920*1200 pixels. Unit size is 174*105*8.0mm, total weight is about 210g. As this Aquos Pad DH-05G has special design, it may not have the overheating problem. So its performance should be quite high. Its CPU working frequency can be 1.5GHz and 2.0GHz. But we need to test it to make sure about it.

This tablet only has black color available, its RAM is 2GB, flash memory is 32GB. Users can extend the memory by one MicroSDXC up to 64GB. The rear camera is 8M pixels, and front camera is 2.1M pixels. Battery capacity is 3900Mah, battery life is unknown for now. The operation system is Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Unit can support Wifi, 4G LTE-A, VoLTE network, and has Full SEG TV service.

News about Intel 10nm processor

The Intel's 14nm processor is available for over 1 year, and when will the Intel 10nm processor be available?

This Feb, staff from Intel said, the 10nm processor will be launched in 2017. But today, as our news, this 10nm processor may be moved ahead. Recently people disclosed the Intel Road map for 2013-2016, from the road map, we can see this 10nm processor will be launched in the 2nd quarter of 2016.

This is the first 10nm processor from Intel, its code is Cannonlake. This processor will be firstly adopted by laptop PC, and even in 2016, it may not be adopted by desktop PC. As the very low power consumption, this processor may be adopted by tablets or smart phones as well. It will be the 3rd quarter of 2016. Its highest end flagship CPU, Skaylake-E will be available in 3rd quarter.

Broadwell series will have Core I7-5775C, Core I5-5675C for desktop PC, and in August, Skylate will have five processors, they are Core I7-6700K, I7-6700, Core I5-6600K, I5-6600 and I5-6500. In next Jan, they may have upgrading editions.

In the road map, the other four CPU are not displayed, they are both coming low power consumption, only 35W. They are Core I7-6700T, Core I5-6600T, I5-6500T and I5-6400T.

Google pushes out Android 5.1 Lollipop OS to Nexus 9

Nvidia will abandon smart phone and tablets market

As news from ontablets.es, Nvidia will abandon its mobile devices business, and sell out its 3G and LTE modem business. Nvidia announced that it will close Icera before 2nd quarter of 2015, and sell out all its properties. In 2011, Nvidia is cost 367 million US dollar to acquire Icera modem business.

In 2011, Nvidia was already the leader of desktop PC, and it was also quite confident of the future of mobile devices, like smart phones and tablets. So Nvidia developed its Tegra 2 dual core processor, this chipset was selected by Motorola. At that moment, Qualcomm is still a solution provider for base band. Mediatek even did not start its business for mobile device.

At that moment, Nvidia just owned the technology of APP processor, but no technologies for base band. So Nvidia wanted to acquire Icera. After the acquisition, Nvidia launched its new SOC integrating base band. In 2013, and 2014, Qualcomm started to compete with Mediatek. But Nvidia was still one year ahead of Mediatek. Everything looks very good.

In May, 2011, Nvidia finished the acquisition with Icera. At that moment, Nvidia were still developing its Tegra 2 and Tegra 3. Windows 10 OS will cover 1 billion devices

Yesterday, Microsoft announced that in the following 2 or 3 years, there will be over 1 billion users choosing Windows 10 OS. Total incoming of ARM in 1st quarter is nearly 340 million US dollars

Today, the chipset design company, ARM announced that its total incoming during 1st quarter of 2015 is nearly 340 million US dollars. Compared with last year, it is increased by 22%. This number has already taken over 335 million US dollars we estimated before. So why there is such a great increase?

As our investigation in market, that is because that ARM framework has a very high market share in new smart phones. But people also said, though, ARM has a very good sales result in the 1st quarter of 2015. But in whole industrial, the total incoming is still going down. Many smart phones appeared in this CES 2015 trade show may be available for sale in the 3rd quarter of this year. And new iPhone may be also launched in Sept.

Though, iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S6 and other well know smart phones are adopting customized processor. But they are all based on ARM framework. As the high performance of ARM processor, till now, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are still in high demand several months after it was available. As the latest information, till last month, iPhone 6 is still the most welcomed smart phone in China and UK.

ARM acquired two companies in US

Today, ARM announced that it has already acquired two companies in US. One is Wicentric and the other is Sunrise Micro Devices. And ARM will launch a new brand name, Cordio. In meanwhile, ARM developed one new technology, Sub-voltage Bluetooth system. It will help chipset suppliers shorten the time for products availability.

ARM did not tell how much it costs to acquire these two companies. Sunrise will produce low power consumption wireless devices, like Bluetooth 4.0 CMOS. Wicentric will provide Bluetooth Smart software stack for the low power consumption wireless devices. Sunrise was established by some staff working for Motorola Labs before.

As we know, the major incoming of ARM is chipset for smart phones and tablets. Recently, ARM is trying to enhance its position in Internet of Things.

Recently, ARM has already made some small acquisition. For example, it has already acquired one company from Holland. Now, ARM is fighting for the market of Internet of Things.

Mediatek launches one decuple core processor

Yesterday, Suverimax disclosed the latest news. Mediatek has already started to promote its new high end processor, Helio X20 processor to its major clients, like Vivo, XiaoMi etc. The biggest feature is this Helio X20 is one decuple core processor.

But what is a pity, Suverimax did not tell the detail information of this Helio X20 processor. And we also searched online, but there is no information can be found. But Suverimax said, after tested by 3rd party software, this Helio X20 is scored by over 70 thousand, it is very similar as the Samsung Galaxy S6.

As our estimation, this decuple core processor should integrate one octa core and one dual core processors. The dual core processor should be one co-assistant CPU. It can help to reduce the power consumption. But of course, maybe it is real decuple core processor, if so, that may be too amazing.

Forcast: Surface tablet pc sales volume may exceed 4 million pieces

As news from suverimax.com, as estimation, in 2015, the total sales volume of Surface tablet pc may exceed 4 million pieces. In 2014, its sales volume was only 2 million pieces. That means, the sales of 2015 may be twice of 2014. The reason the sales increase is the Surface 3 which was launched recently, and the new Surface Pro 4 which may be available for sale soon. As news, the new Surface Pro 4 may be launched in April, and it will be massively produced in June.

In March, Surface 3 was launched, and this tablet will be available for sale in May. Its price is 499 US dollars. This price is quite competitive in market.

Microsoft announced recently the sales volume of Surface tablet has already exceed 12 million pieces. In 4th quarter of last year, its sales was increased by 24% compared with 2013.

In 2015, tablets based on Windows OS may be sold about 15 million pieces including Surface tablets. Compared with 2014, it is increased by 30%. But as the Surface 3, many suppliers may not be willing to launch tablets with Windows OS.

Google launches several Chrome OS devices with Rockchip processor

Yesterday, Google officially launched several new Chromebook laptop PC, and one HDMI sticker. These new products are produced by ASUS, Haier and Hisense. Except the low price, all of them are adopting processors from Rockchip.

The four new laptop PC are ASUS Chromebook C021, Haier Chromebook 11 and 11E, and Hisense Chromebook C11. Haier Chromebook 11 and Hisense C11 are both adopting 11.6 inch IPS screen, resolution is 1366*768 pixels. Both units owns the Rockchip RK3288 processor. Difference is the Hisense C11 adopts 2.5GHz Rockchip RK3288. And Haier Chromebook 11 adopts RK3288-C, its frequency is 1.8GHz, this processor is based on ARM Cortex A17, GPU is Mali-T760. Its performance is very good. The RAM is 2GB, and flash memory is 16GB.

Regarding the battery life, as the low power consumption of RK3288-C, the new Chromebook devices are much better than old ones, for example, the ASUS Chromebook C021 is 13 hours battery life.

The market director of Rockchip said Rockchip has very good relationship with Google. They have made long time cooperation on tablet pc and smart phones. And this RK3288-C has very good performance on Chromebook.

Toshiba Encore 2 tablet pc will be available in Alaska Air

At early of this year, Alaska Air announced that it will prepare tablet pc with Windows 8 OS for passengers for entertainment during journey. As our latest, the tablet Alaska chose is Toshiba Encore 2. And Alaska has increased the order quantity recently. The reason is quite simple, demand from passengers is very high. Passengers just need to pay 8 to 10 US dollars, and you can use the Toshiba Encore 2 during the whole journey. It will provide frontier technology for passengers.

But the operation system of this Toshiba Encore 2 for passengers is not running Windows 8.1 operation system, but Windows Embedded 8.1 Industrial. Skycast Solutions will provide security and update service. The other benefit is Skycast will provide the latest films which is just playing in theaters.

Except that, Alaska is also quite expecting the Windows 10 operation system, and it also make soem preparation for it. Maybe it is a new market for the tablet suppliers.

Intel Atom processor is too high power consumption

Though, Intel has invested a lot on its mobile processor for smart phones and tablets, but situation is still not good enough. Now, ARM has already occupied most market. But recently, some bad news to Intel rolled out. HP Slate tablets may abandon Intel Atom processor. The reason is quite simple, its power consumption is too high, battery life is not long enough.

As estimation, HP Slate may adopt processors of ARM framework, and add more products with Android OS. Now, HP has Android tablets and Windows tablets as well. In India, HP launched some phablets with Android OS and small size screen. But market response is not very good.

HP has acquired the operation system from Palm, and rename it WebOS. And soon it launched several products with WebOS. But the sales was not good, so HP stopped all projection about WebOS, and sold it to LG.

After that, HP chose Android and Windows OS. Now, HP has already quit the market of smart phone.

Now, in smart phone market, there is few products with Intel Atom processor, the reason is its power consumption is much higher than ARM, and performance is lower.

Samsung launched two new Galaxy Tab A tablet pc in Russia

Recently, Samsung launched two new Galaxy Tab A tablet pc in Russia. Samsung did it quietly. The two tablets own different screen size. One is 8 inch and the other is 9.7 inch.

Though screen size is quite different, but screen resolution is the same, 1280*800 pixels. Now, most of smart phones own 1080P screen resolution, so these two tablets are not so satisfying. Both units are adopting one quad core processor. The frequency is 1.2GHz, but Samsung did not tell the model of the processor. The RAM is 2GB, and flash memory is 16GB. And if you think the memory space is not enough, you can extend it by a TF card.

Basically speaking, the configuration of the two tablets is not high, but their price is not cheap. The 8 inch unit is 276 US dollars, and 9.7 inch is wifi edition is 341 US dollars, and 4G LTE edition is 406 US dollars.

Yuandao M9I dual boot tablet pc

In 2014, there were a lot of tablet pc with Windows OS launched. In meanwhile, many suppliers started to develop dual boot tablets. Till now, Yuandao has already launched 7 inch and 8 inch dual boot tablets. Recently, its 9.7 inch dual boot tablet pc is disclosed. Model number is M9I.

The design of this Yuandao M9I is quite simple. Front cover is white color, and rear side is silver color. Till now, from information we collected, this tablet owns dual cameras, and support TF card extension. Regarding its hardware, we believe it will be better than its 7 inch and 8 inch units. Of course, the dual OS is still most interesting feature. OS instant switch, OTA update, and TF card share and other function will be available.

This M9I will roll out at the end of March, and price is around 200 euros.
